Hirish Chandrasekaran

PhD Student in Computer Science

Welcome to my academic homepage! I'm a PhD student at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign working on computational science. My research focuses on the numerical solution of PDE's for science and engineering applications.

Before starting my PhD, I completed my B.S. at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I enjoy playing pick-up soccer, hiking and working out in my free time.

My current work involves applying integral equation solvers to scattering problems, targeted towards plasmonics (optical computing), and RF engineering applications.

Fast Evaluation of Derivatives of Green's Functions Using Recurrences

Hirish Chandrasekaran, Andreas Kloeckner

We present a method to rapidly evaluate derivatives of radially symmetric Green's functions in O(1) complexity per derivative. Future work aims to extend its generality.
